Why upgrade to the new version of Debian?

First, there was the incident that saturated root partition on the machine to the point of preventing launch of the machine under Jessie today; this is what made us note that the characteristics of the used partitions were not optimal, since it is by increasing space used by the web development on /var/www/html directory , that we had completely filled in 'root' partition.

Fortunately, LVM system was used and this allowed us to restart the machine on an additional Debian installation on the backup disk, permanently connected to the machine, to extend the 'root' partition to allow machine start again.

The necessary modification of partitions prompted us to take advantage of a complete reinstallation of the machine to upgrade to the latest Debian’s release.

In addition, Stretch's implementation allowed to have php 7 and mysql 5.7 versions, and upgrade website developments.
